Okay, not the most photogenic of subjects, but we needed something visually interesting for these small but important pieces of plastic! Part of our ever increasing commercial photography portfolio

Commercial Shoot on Location
Another shoot for Cats Whiskers body painters, this was really simple set up made easier by the wireless triggering capacity of my camera and Nikon Flashes. We were lucky with the weather too.... The rugby top is painted on over the course of an afternoon.
A quick (ish) set up, light to carry and great reasults...

Burlesque Night
Spent a fantastic week in cornwall camping on one of the Yurts on South Penquite farm. Handily we had a job in Cornwall on the Friday - documenting the Burlesque performers at the Navy Base in Helston. Great costumes and performances - check out the images shot in low natural light on an extremely hot evening....!

Boidoir Photography
We are lucky to have a talented female photographer here at Blue Skies Photography. Becki is always on hand to make anyone relaxed for a shoot with us. This is always the case with Boudoir Photography. Becki excels at sexy portraits always making the client at ease whatever their shape or age. We find its a great boost to the ego and very liberating to see yourself looking much better than you thought you could stripped down to a corset! Heres a couple of sample shots from recent boudoir photo sessions.

Mr Music
This is my favourite image from a recent session with Vinyl Enthusiast and record dealer Adam. Its a classic example of how we like to work at the studio with the sitter bringing their own ideas about the shoot. We got some great shots in Black and White too - more of those later. NB some of the vinyl on the floor as well as being colourful is very collectable, a couple of which were worth hundreds of pounds!

At Night, Make It Bright
But get yourself seen.....
Here is a landmark that has no trouble in getting seen. In fact Its seen a little bit too much sometimes in photos round Bristol way. How do you photograph something that so well known differently? Get all minimalist on its ass, thats how! Thanks to Mick for commissioning me on this one. Anyone needing bespoke IT support - go no further than www.desktopenterprises.co.uk!

Wedding Season 07
Having started this blog late in the year and then being overwhelmed by the rush up to Christmas with portraits, I haven't posted much wedding work! So here goes - some of my favourite images. This was all wedding photography Bristol wise!
There are some more unconventional ones where I love the energy and the dynamics of the composition such as the BW steps. Despite the unconventional cropping the emotion of the picture fits the visual dynamics perfectly!

Dark Skies
One of our favourite techniques here at Blue Skies is the use of off camera flash underexposing the scene to create really dramatic portraits. We were walking with my family recently on a really windy day and this photo just came about. There's something about it I really like - but can't quite figure what it is...!

The Hooper Family
We love capturing natural, unposed shots at the studio and its great to have people that bring their own ideas for a shoot. Ben and Catherine had plenty and we got some great shots! These are two of my favourite - still moments from quite a busy shoot with mother and son at perfect ease and one with dad. The stripes they all wore were perfect for creating really strong images.
