Pregnancy Shoot

Sometimes a pregnacy shoot demands something a little different. Especially when its your own. I love strong graphic imagery - check out American photographer Harry Callaghan's studies of Eleanor - and this takes a similar approach, making the most of positive and negative space.

Mysterious Dorset

Swanage, Dorset. Theres two types of people here - Indians and Dead People. Only Joking, its a great part of the world populated by Steam Trains and Hill Walkers, with all the usual strangeness of a seaside resort. Oh, and on New Years Eve everyone dresses up Fancy-like.

Backlighting Flowers

Some recent commercial work shows how simple backlighting and equally simple composition can create something really striking. Strong diagionals from the flame-like petals are balanced by the texture of the seeds in the bottom corner.

Blackpool Lights, Big City

Blackpool. Its a hell hole to some and jewel to others. We stayed in a great hotel though- The Metropol which is where I snapped this picture in the lift. Amazingly on 3200 iso on the Fuji S5 it still looks good. You wouldn't get this on a Nikon... Second pic is from the Pleasure Beach. Such a weird and entertaining place.

The Boys in the Studio

Matt & Sarah brought in their 'boys' for a shoot a couple of weeks back. They were very well behaved and great fun. Very wet noses though. We got some great closeups and action shots - what a happy family!

Joe & Bex

It seems such a long time ago but our good friends Joe & Bex were married in a field of Romany Caravans at the start of September. We weren't officially working - but the temptation was too much! Here are a couple of snaps from the day.

Shot without flash because the natural light was just amazing. What a brilliant day and what a genuinely lovely couple they are!

If you are looking for something different for the summer holidays the Rock Valley Farm is great. Where else can you sleep in a caravan with Llamas next to you? Fantastic food in abundance from Exeters - Bon Goutes Deli
